Learning Disabilities

While every student I have met has had different ways of learning and different interests, I have never met any student that was incapable of learning anything.  Of course, we all learn about the things we are interested in the easiest, but it is possible for anyone to become interested in anything if it is truly important to them.  In particular, I believe that understanding math is an innate ability that all people have, just like language, but not everyone learns or thinks in the same way.  By listening, observing, and paying attention to what works and what doesn’t for each individual, I am able to adapt my approach to each student, and help them make the most of their educational opportunities by using their strengths and compensating for their weaknesses.
